Elephant Birthday Card

An Elephant never forgets….     or so the saying goes.    My niece mentioned she loved elephants when we went to the zoo a while back.   Hoping that hadn't changed I wanted to make an elephant based card and knew I had a cricut cartridge that would be a perfect match.     I love the final result.     I also love that it's a card without cupcakes (I do love cupcakes, almost obsessively love them) but change once and awhile is good.

Mother's Day Two Ways

I've been using my cricut a bit more lately and when I got to work on Mother's Day Cards for this year I decided to use it to make these vase/flower die cuts for cards.    I used the Every Day Pop-Up Cards cartridge from cricut, the Relax is from Verve stamps, "Happy Mother's Day" $1 studio g stamp from Michaels.

Cinco De Mayo Birthday Boy

Kyle's birthday is today and I made him this card while he was out this morning.   I'm hoping he has a great day all the way around.

   The margarita glass is from a Unity stamp I recently got the "When life gives you limes …" that I couldn't wait to use.   The Relax is from Verve stamp set named coincidentally relax ;)   And "it's your day" is from a studio g $1 stamp from Michaels.

Baby Shower Pop Up Card

 

Over the holidays we got the great news that my sister and law was expecting!    If it's a girl I made this card to send them.    And as luck would have it it's going to be a girl.    The popup is from Cricut's Everyday Popup Card cartridge.     I'm loving the designs but not quite sure how to decorate the front of them?    I'm still trying to figure out a good way to have something nice and simple on the front that easily ties right into the main event, the inside.   I finally gave it to her this weekend at her shower.

My Sister in law is expecting and her shower was yesterday.   The top is from tags I made that went on each jar of bath salts my mom put together as party favors (Unity stamp) and the bottom are the thank you cards (using cricut) I made for my sister in law to send out.   Cute huh?

I just got this stamp from itty bitty Unity called "rain or shine".   OMG I love it!!!   And I love the cards I've made with it.    Can't wait to give one to my sweetie for Valentines Day.

Hot Air Balloons

I recently got the everyday pop up cards cricut cartridge. I love so many of the selections, but since I've been in a big hot air balloon motif lately I decided to make this one first.   The top one is the pop-up card version, the bottom is the hot air balloon alone.      I think they are just so cute.   Love them.    The sentiment on the second one is from echo park -  dots and stripes elements.

Kauai

A couple weeks ago we got back from a wonderful trip to Kauai. I want to remember this trip and I also have been wanting to play with creating a calendar, so I created these 5x7 months for 2012. I'm still figuring out the best way to print them that I'll be happy with.

Life is sweeter ....

From the Unity March 2010 KOM. I really love the bubble gum dispenser stamp! I made a few others last weekend, but had an extra sentiment that I'd stamped so I wanted to make one to match. I coupled the stamp with paper scraps from one of my favorite paper packs.

Have a Beachin Birthday

When I saw this stamp in the June 2011 Unity kit I had to have it. I debated and went back and forth and then there was a sale! So I jumped on it and got a couple sets and a few individual stamps. I love the kits I got. Here is the first card I made with one of the stamps and it was for my Mom's birthday. Inside reads "Have a beachin birthday". I'm in love with this stamp in particular, and can't wait to keep playing with the whole set.
