Birthday Card For Sis in Law

June is a busy month for birthdays, asside from my own, my sister-in-law, mother-in-law, a niece & nephew. Here's the card I made for my sister-in-law. The last couple years we've been pretty lame with gifts, this year I took the day off and we spend the day in the city to celebrate both of our birthdays. It was a great day.

Life is Good

I got the Relax Stamp set by Verve for my birthday and really wanted to use them. Here is my first card using the set. Love it, not sure who I'd send it too, but life is good! Even if kyle pointed out the surf boards aren't long boards (his new hobby) *sigh*.

Baskets - 4th of July

I've been staring at some scrapbook paper with little stars on it and it got me in the mood to make some 4th of July cards. Here they are, and yes more baskets.

Basket - Let's Do Lunch

Another card using the Vintage Picnic stamp set from Paper Trey Ink.  I love the way the basket looks.  The variation using copic markers turned out awesome (IMHO).    hehe.

Basket - Thank you

I've had the Vintage Picnic stamp set for a long time now from Paper Trey Ink,  I've been thinking about this set and pulled it out last weekend.   I went a little crazy with them,  I've got a few to show but I'll start with this thank you card.

"Imitation is the sincerest of flattery."

I'm a total copy cat and I admit it.   This card is based off of one featured int Paper Crafts magazine by Kalyn Kepner.   It caught my eye and I knew I had to make one too.    It's a great design for scraps and so much fun too.    XOXO :)

Inspired by Gingerbread Gal

When I came across the version by Gingerbread Gal I knew I a) had to get the changito stamp, b) since I had the background paper in my stash I wanted to recreate it. Here's my version.

Birthday Card for an Old Friend

By old I don't mean age, but we've been friends since I was 18 and let's just say it's been well over a decade!! He's seen me at my best and at my worst. Not many people would/have stuck around for that! So since I just got a new cricut cartridge I had to figure out how to use it and create a card for him. This is a mix of a taylored expressions stamp set with the "straight from the nest" cricut cartridge. It's not your typical "birthday card" but I like it none the less.

Easter Sunday

Generally we don't really do Easter, but I was out yesterday by my favorite chocolatier and decided I'd pick up some for my sweetie, which of course meant I "needed" to put together a basket ;) So here you have it. Happy Easter Everyone.

Surf's Up!

Kyle's decided to take up surfing. Here's a layout capturing his first lesson. He has since bought his own board, and is working on convincing a friend to take up the sport with him. It's been awhile since I've done a layout but I love the way this one turned out! I love all the different papers and textures.

Friendship Card

I'm still loving this stamp set and really love this my minds eye "home" paper pack I picked up. I also love the color combination of these flowers (the same as I used on the orchid cards from the same stamp set)

Happy Birthday Little Brother

Masculine birthday cards are always a challenge for me. I love pink and girl-y colors that just don't work for a guy card. These were my first cupcake stamps I purchased (and it's become an obsession since). Previously I did a pink version that was one of my favorites. I think I've found the male counterpart. I love how the muted colors come together and are still festive. This one is for my brother. Happy Birthday Adam!!!

Happy Birthday Jen

I received the orchid stamp (as part of a set) for Christmas and I love it!! I need to try some of the others in the set, but that will have to wait for another day. The swirled corners are a 7 gypsies set. This card is to wish my friend Jen a very happy 30th birthday.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

The outside of the card.

The inside of the card.

I really wanted to create a card with a punchout on the front and hearts showing through. For some reason it took forever to get it to come together in a way I liked. But I am happy with the final product. I used fancy pants rub ons, a little making memories paper and a little yellow bicycle transparency.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Welcome Baby (boy card)

Another baby card. Boys seem to be in the air so I've been trying to make some baby boy cards lately. Here's the latest.
